The Marques de Casa Concha line, first launched in 1976, pays tribute to the hereditary title bestowed upon the founder of Concha y Toro, Melchor de Santiago Concha y Toro, by King Philip V of Spain in 1718. This Malbec is primarily sourced from the Lourdes Vineyard in the Maule Valley, within Chile's expansive Central Valley. Here, the clay-loam soils and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts yield a Malbec of remarkable concentration and freshness. The grapes are hand-harvested and aged in French oak barrels, resulting in a wine that beautifully balances dark fruit intensity, floral notes of violet, and a refined, structured finish that reflects Chile's unique take on this classic Andean variety.
