Courvoisier's Austerlitz 175th Anniversary is a legendary commemorative release celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Battle of Austerlitz, Napoleon Bonaparte's greatest military victory in 1805. Given Courvoisier's historic reputation as the 'Cognac of Napoleon'—a title solidified when Napoleon III granted the house the title of Official Purveyor to the Imperial Court in 1869—this rare bottling is a tribute to that imperial heritage. Crafted from exceptionally rare, aged eaux-de-vie sourced from the region's finest crus, this blend underwent traditional double distillation in small copper alembic stills before decades of slumber in fine-grained French oak casks.
