The winery's name itself carries a touch of historical whimsy, as the brand 'Cune' famously originated from a simple typographical error where the 'V' in CVNE was misread as a 'U'. Sourced primarily from old vines in the clay-limestone soils of Rioja Alta, this wine is a classic blend dominated by Tempranillo, supported by Graciano and Mazuelo. Following strict Gran Reserva traditions, it undergoes extended aging in American and French oak casks followed by years of refinement in the bottle.
