The name of this sweet 'sticky' pays tribute to the historic South Australian invention, the stump-jump plough, which enabled early settlers to clear the rugged mallee country. Crafted by the eccentric d'Arenberg winery, this luscious dessert wine is a unique blend of Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon, and Pinot Gris. The grapes are left on the vine to concentrate their natural sugars, often benefiting from botrytis cinerea (noble rot) which imparts luscious honeyed, apricot, and citrus peel complexities. Fermented to preserve its vibrant, sweet fruit profile, it beautifully balances rich sweetness with a refreshing spine of acidity.
