✨ Technical Specifications
Delas Frères' Hermitage 'Domaine des Tourettes' is a majestic expression of Northern Rhône Syrah, sourced from the legendary granite slopes of the Hermitage hill. This cuvée is a masterful blend of fruit from three distinct climats: the powerful, structured 'Les Bessards', the aromatic 'L'Ermite', and 'Le Sabot'. Historically, the Hermitage hill has been revered since Roman times, with legends whispering of the 13th-century crusader knight Gaspard de Stérimberg, who built a hermitage atop the hill to find peace. Delas honors this rich heritage by crafting a wine of immense depth and complexity. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in open concrete tanks before undergoing aging in French oak barrels for 14 to 16 months. The resulting wine is renowned for its deep ruby color, intense aromas of dark berries, spices, and leather, backed by a powerful yet velvety tannic structure.
