Domaine Leroy's Premier Cru red wines represent some of the most profound and collectible expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. Sourced from legendary Premier Cru parcels across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune—including Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées, Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts, Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Combottes, and Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Narbantons—these wines are shaped by Lalou Bize-Leroy's uncompromising biodynamic principles. Yields are kept phenomenally low through severe pruning, resulting in berries of intense concentration. In the cellar, the grapes undergo whole-cluster fermentation in large wooden vats before aging in 100% new French oak barrels. Domaine Leroy was established in 1988 when Lalou Bize-Leroy, an iconic figure in Burgundy and former co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, acquired the historic vineyards of Domaine Charles Noëllat in Vosne-Romanée. Headquartered in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the estate immediately instituted strict biodynamic viticulture across its parcels, setting an industry benchmark for radically low yields and meticulous vineyard stewardship. Guided by a steadfast non-interventionist philosophy, the domaine employs whole-cluster vinification and bottles without fining or filtration to capture the unvarnished essence of each climat.
