Hailing from the picturesque village of Pernand-Vergelesses in the Côte de Beaune, the Clos de la Croix de Pierre Blanc is a distinguished single-vineyard Chardonnay. The vineyard takes its name from the historic stone cross that stands at its entrance, a silent sentinel overlooking the vines. Situated on a steep slope with east-northeast exposure, the vineyard features limestone-dominant soils mixed with pebbles, which absorb heat during the day and radiate it back to the vines. This unique terroir, combined with the cooler microclimate of the valley, imparts a striking mineral tension, vibrant acidity, and elegant flinty notes to the wine. Domaine Louis Jadot vinifies this parcel using traditional methods, fermenting and aging the wine in oak barrels to achieve a harmonious balance between rich texture and crisp, clean fruit expression.

Maison Louis Jadot blev grundlagt i 1859 af Louis Henry Denis Jadot og er et af Burgundys mest ikoniske og historiske vinhuse med base i Beaune. Gennem mere end halvandet århundrede har huset opbygget en enestående portefølje af prestigefyldte vinmarker på tværs af Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune og videre ud i regionen. Her skabes stilskabende vine på alt fra de klassiske regionalappellationer til de mest legendariske Grand Crus. Husets filosofi bygger på at lade det enkelte terroirs unikke karakter træde tydeligt frem. Vinifikationen er traditionel og suppleres af en nænsom fadlagring, som fremhæver renhed, struktur og områdets særpræg. Louis Jadot er verdenskendt for sine elegante, lagringsværdige rødvine på Pinot Noir – som for eksempel Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru – samt sine præcise og mineralske hvidvine på Chardonnay.
