Hailing from the picturesque village of Pernand-Vergelesses in the Côte de Beaune, the Clos de la Croix de Pierre Blanc is a distinguished single-vineyard Chardonnay. The vineyard takes its name from the historic stone cross that stands at its entrance, a silent sentinel overlooking the vines. Situated on a steep slope with east-northeast exposure, the vineyard features limestone-dominant soils mixed with pebbles, which absorb heat during the day and radiate it back to the vines. This unique terroir, combined with the cooler microclimate of the valley, imparts a striking mineral tension, vibrant acidity, and elegant flinty notes to the wine. Domaine Louis Jadot vinifies this parcel using traditional methods, fermenting and aging the wine in oak barrels to achieve a harmonious balance between rich texture and crisp, clean fruit expression.

Established in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot stands as one of Burgundy's preeminent domaines and négociant houses. With viticultural roots extending back to the 1826 purchase of the Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules, the estate manages hundreds of hectares spanning Chablis, the Côte d'Or, the Mâconnais, and Beaujolais.
