The Dominion Tantara Garys' Vineyard Syrah is a masterful expression of one of California's most legendary winegrowing sites. Located in the wind-swept Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County, Garys' Vineyard was famously planted in 1997 by lifelong friends and growers Gary Pisoni and Gary Franscioni. This cool-climate site is celebrated for its dramatic maritime influence, where morning fog and fierce afternoon winds from Monterey Bay slow down grape ripening, allowing for intense flavor development and structural complexity. Dominion Tantara harnesses this unique terroir using traditional, low-intervention winemaking techniques. The resulting Syrah is deeply concentrated, showcasing the classic cool-climate signature of dark bramble fruit, cracked black pepper, smoked meats, and savory olive tapenade, all framed by refined tannins and a vibrant, refreshing acidity.
