The name 'Badstube' pays homage to the historic medieval bathhouses that once dotted the town of Bernkastel. This 100% Riesling sparkling wine captures the essence of its unique terroir, where devonian slate soils impart a distinct mineral tension and vibrant acidity. Produced to highlight the pure, aromatic character of the Riesling grape, the wine showcases a fine, persistent mousse. It beautifully marries the classic Mosel profile of bright stone fruits, citrus zest, and flinty minerality with a lively, effervescent texture, representing a joyful celebration of regional sparkling winemaking tradition.

The historic Dr. Loosen estate has been in the Loosen family for over two centuries, situated along the dramatic, slate-lined slopes of the Middle Mosel in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany. Since taking over management in 1988, Ernst Loosen has revitalized the winery by strictly focusing on low yields, meticulous vineyard stewardship, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The estate is blessed with extraordinarily old, ungrafted Riesling vines in legendary Grand Cru (Grosse Lage) vineyards such as Erdener Prälat, Wehlener Sonnenuhr, and Bernkasteler Lay.
