The Dr. Loosen estate has been in the same family for over 200 years, deeply rooted in the dramatic, slate-rich slopes of Germany's Mosel valley. This Riesling Feinherb represents the historic, traditional style of the region, where fermentations naturally slowed or stopped in the cool autumn cellars, leaving a delicate touch of residual sweetness. Crafted from 100% Riesling grown on steep, hand-harvested vineyards, the wine undergoes fermentation in a combination of stainless steel tanks and traditional large oak casks (Fuder). The blue slate soils of the Mosel impart a distinct, stony minerality, which beautifully balances the wine's vibrant, electric acidity and juicy stone fruit flavors, embodying the classic Mosel tension between sweetness and structure.

The historic Dr. Loosen estate has been in the Loosen family for over two centuries, situated along the dramatic, slate-lined slopes of the Middle Mosel in Bernkastel-Kues, Germany. Since taking over management in 1988, Ernst Loosen has revitalized the winery by strictly focusing on low yields, meticulous vineyard stewardship, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The estate is blessed with extraordinarily old, ungrafted Riesling vines in legendary Grand Cru (Grosse Lage) vineyards such as Erdener Prälat, Wehlener Sonnenuhr, and Bernkasteler Lay. Dr. Loosen is globally celebrated for producing pure, expressive, and age-worthy Rieslings that range from vibrant dry bottlings to lusciously complex, mineral-laced Prädikat and dessert wines.
