Proyecto Las Compuertas is a passionate initiative by brothers Hector and Pablo Durigutti to preserve the historic, threatened vineyards of Las Compuertas in Luj!n de Cuyo from urban development. This expression of Charbono (historically known as Bonarda or Douce Noir) is sourced from a small, high-altitude parcel planted on clay-loam soils. To honor the purity of the fruit and the heritage of the land, the wine is crafted with minimal intervention, utilizing native yeasts and aging exclusively in unlined concrete vats. This traditional approach coaxes out a vibrant, rustic yet incredibly elegant profile, celebrating the historical legacy of one of Argentina's unsung grape varieties.
