E. Guigal's 'La Doriane' is a legendary expression of Condrieu, representing the absolute pinnacle of the Viognier grape. Sourced from exceptionally steep, terraced vineyards—including the prestigious plots of Cote Chatillon and Colombier—the vines cling to decomposed granite soils known locally as 'arzelle.' This challenging terroir requires entirely manual labor, preserving a winemaking tradition that dates back to Roman times. La Doriane is vinified and aged entirely in 100% new French oak barrels for approximately 12 months, undergoing full malolactic fermentation. This meticulous process yields a white wine of breathtaking opulence, seamlessly blending intense aromas of white peach, apricot, and acacia blossoms with a rich, voluptuous texture and a subtle, spicy oak integration.

Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in the ancient village of Ampuis, Domaine E. Guigal has become one of the Rhône Valley's most illustrious and influential wine estates. Now managed by Marcel and Philippe Guigal, the family is headquartered at the historic Château d'Ampuis, where they craft legendary wines that define the northern and southern Rhône. The estate is globally renowned for its iconic Côte-Rôtie single-vineyard bottlings—La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne—as well as the opulent Condrieu La Doriane. Their uncompromising production philosophy emphasizes extremely long barrel aging in their custom, in-house cooperage, resulting in wines of extraordinary depth, structure, and longevity.
