Situated on a steep, south-facing amphitheater along the Saar River, this vineyard is defined by its unique iron-rich, reddish Devonian slate soil, which yields a warmer microclimate than the cooler Scharzhofberg. This produces a Riesling of incredible opulence, exotic spice, and rich stone fruit character.
