The Le Gallais estate, managed by the legendary Egon Müller family since 1954, is synonymous with the Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard. Situated on a steep, south-facing amphitheater along the Saar River, this site is distinguished by its iron-rich red slate soils, which yield a warmer, more exotic, and structurally opulent Riesling than the cooler blue slate of Scharzhofberg. The 'Auktion' bottling represents the absolute pinnacle of the estate's selection, destined exclusively for the prestigious annual VDP Grosser Ring auction in Trier. Crafted from meticulously hand-selected grapes heavily influenced by noble rot, this Auslese is fermented in traditional old oak Fuder casks. Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof traces its heritage to 1797 when Jean-Jacques Koch acquired the historic estate, nestled in Wiltingen along the Saar valley within Germany's famed Mosel region.
