The Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard, managed masterfully by the legendary Egon Müller under the Le Gallais estate since 1954, is one of the Mosel's most revered sites. Unlike the grey slate of the nearby Scharzhofberg, the 'brown hillock' of Braune Kupp is characterized by iron-rich, weathered red slate and clay soils. This unique terroir yields a Riesling of extraordinary opulence, spice, and dark-toned stone fruit. The Auslese Goldkapsel represents the absolute pinnacle of selection, where botrytised grapes are painstakingly hand-harvested berry by berry.
