Crafted by the legendary Egon Müller at the historic Le Gallais estate, this Beerenauslese is a monument to the steep, red-slate slopes of the Wiltinger Braune Kupp vineyard along the Saar river. The Le Gallais estate, acquired by the Müller family in 1954, yields wines of singular character, where the iron-rich soils impart a distinctive smoky complexity. Beerenauslese represents an extraordinary labor of love, requiring vineyard workers to painstakingly select individual, shriveled grapes affected by noble rot (botrytis). Vinified in traditional neutral oak casks, the resulting nectar is a breathtaking tightrope walk between luscious, concentrated honeyed sweetness and the piercing, electric acidity characteristic of the cool Saar microclimate.

Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof traces its heritage to 1797 when Jean-Jacques Koch acquired the historic estate, nestled in Wiltingen along the Saar valley within Germany's famed Mosel region.
