Crafted by the legendary Egon Müller under the Le Gallais estate, this rare Riesling hails from the Wiltinger Braune Kupp, a steep, south-facing monopole vineyard overlooking the Saar River. Unlike the cold grey slate of Scharzhofberg, the 'Brown Dome' is rich in iron-infused red slate, yielding a warmer, intensely spicy, and deeply mineral expression of Riesling. The 'Goldkapsel' designation indicates a selection of highly botrytised grapes of extraordinary sweetness and acidity, while the 'Auktion' status means this specific bottling was reserved exclusively for the prestigious annual VDP auction in Trier. Established in 1797 when the Müller family acquired the historic estate, Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof is located in Wiltingen within the Saar sub-region of the Mosel, Germany.
