Crafted by the legendary Egon Müller at the historic Le Gallais estate, which the Müller family acquired in 1954, the Wiltinger Braune Kupp Riesling Beerenauslese represents the pinnacle of sweet winemaking in the Saar valley. The Braune Kupp vineyard is a steep, south-facing amphitheater overlooking the Saar River, characterized by its unique iron-rich, reddish slate soils. This terroir imparts a distinctively spicy, deeply mineral, and structured character that differentiates it from the cooler, blue-slate profile of Scharzhofberg. To produce this rare elixir, botrytis-affected grapes are meticulously hand-harvested berry by berry. Fermented in traditional neutral oak Fuder casks, the resulting wine is a masterpiece of tension, balancing luscious, honeyed sweetness with a piercing, electric acidity that ensures near-immortal longevity.
