Emiliana's 'Adobe' line is named in tribute to the traditional sun-dried clay bricks used in historic Chilean architecture, symbolizing the winery's deep-rooted connection to the earth and sustainable building practices. Sourced from organic vineyards across Chile's Central Valley, this Merlot thrives in a classic Mediterranean climate where warm, sun-drenched days are balanced by cool evening breezes flowing from the Andes Mountains. This diurnal temperature shift allows the Merlot grapes to develop rich, plush fruit flavors while retaining a vibrant, balancing acidity. Crafted with a philosophy of minimal intervention, the wine is partially aged in oak to soften its structure, resulting in an approachable, velvety red that captures the pure, unadulterated essence of the Central Valley terroir.

Founded in 1986 by the Guilisasti family, Emiliana has grown to become the world's leading producer of organic and biodynamic wines. In the late 1990s, visionary director Rafael Guilisasti partnered with renowned consulting winemaker Álvaro Espinoza to pioneer ecological viticulture across Chile's most prestigious wine regions, including the Casablanca, Maipo, Colchagua, and Cachapoal Valleys. Guided by Demeter-certified biodynamic farming principles, Emiliana eliminates synthetic inputs in favor of natural preparations and native biodiversity to authentically reflect terroir. The estate is widely celebrated for its flagship biodynamic red blends, notably Coyam and Gê, as well as expressive single-vineyard expressions of Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah.
