Emiliana's Natura Merlot is a pure testament to the estate's pioneering dedication to organic viticulture in Chile. Sourced from organically farmed vineyards in the Central Valley, this wine is crafted to capture the vibrant, unadulterated essence of the grape. The vines thrive in a Mediterranean climate where warm, sunny days are tempered by cool evening breezes, allowing the Merlot grapes to ripen slowly and develop rich, expressive flavors while retaining balanced acidity. In the cellar, the focus is on minimal intervention to preserve the bright, primary fruit characteristics of dark plums, cherries, and subtle herbal undertones. The Natura line itself is a tribute to the natural biodiversity of Chile's valleys, where native flora and fauna are integrated into the vineyard ecosystem to create a self-sustaining environment.

Emiliana blev grundlagt i 1986 af Guilisasti-familien og har siden udviklet sig til verdens førende producent af økologiske og biodynamiske vine. I slutningen af 1990'erne gik den visionære direktør Rafael Guilisasti sammen med den anerkendte konsulterende vinmager Álvaro Espinoza for at bane vejen for bæredygtig vinavl på tværs af Chiles mest prestigefyldte vinregioner, herunder Casablanca, Maipo, Colchagua og Cachapoal Valleys. Emiliana arbejder ud fra Demeter-certificerede biodynamiske principper, hvor syntetiske sprøjtemidler fravælges til fordel for naturlige præparater og lokal biodiversitet for at lade terroiret komme rent til udtryk. Vingården er særligt berømt for sine biodynamiske flagskibsrødvine, heriblandt Coyam og Gê, samt karakterfulde enkeltmarksvine på Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon og Syrah.
