Named after the Latin word for 'new stars,' the Novas line by Emiliana celebrates the celestial wonders and the natural harmony of biodynamic viticulture. This Gran Reserva blend marries Chile's flagship Carmenere with the structural elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from organically farmed vineyards in the fertile Central Valley. The grapes benefit from a Mediterranean climate where warm, sun-drenched days are tempered by cool evening breezes rolling off the Andes. This dramatic diurnal temperature shift allows the Carmenere to lose its aggressive pyrazines and develop rich, spicy notes of black pepper and dark plum, while the Cabernet Sauvignon retains its vibrant acidity and firm tannic backbone. Aged thoughtfully in French oak, the resulting wine is a beautiful expression of sustainable Chilean winemaking, balancing lush fruit with refined earthy complexity.

Emiliana blev grundlagt i 1986 af Guilisasti-familien og har siden udviklet sig til verdens førende producent af økologiske og biodynamiske vine. I slutningen af 1990'erne gik den visionære direktør Rafael Guilisasti sammen med den anerkendte konsulterende vinmager Álvaro Espinoza for at bane vejen for bæredygtig vinavl på tværs af Chiles mest prestigefyldte vinregioner, herunder Casablanca, Maipo, Colchagua og Cachapoal Valleys. Emiliana arbejder ud fra Demeter-certificerede biodynamiske principper, hvor syntetiske sprøjtemidler fravælges til fordel for naturlige præparater og lokal biodiversitet for at lade terroiret komme rent til udtryk. Vingården er særligt berømt for sine biodynamiske flagskibsrødvine, heriblandt Coyam og Gê, samt karakterfulde enkeltmarksvine på Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon og Syrah.
