✨ Technical Specifications
Emiliana's Novas Gran Reserva Sauvignon Blanc is a tribute to the natural wonders of the cosmos, named after the 'novas'—bright new stars that symbolize renewal and the celestial cycles guiding biodynamic viticulture. Sourced from estate vineyards in the cool-climate Casablanca Valley within the greater Aconcagua region, this wine benefits from the dramatic cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean. Morning fogs and brisk coastal breezes slow the ripening process, allowing the grapes to develop intense aromatic complexity while retaining a vibrant, crisp acidity. Crafted using certified organic grapes, the wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by a brief period of aging on its fine lees to enhance its textural depth and mouthfeel without losing its signature purity and bright fruit character.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1986 by the Guilisasti family, Emiliana has grown to become the world's leading producer of organic and biodynamic wines. In the late 1990s, visionary director Rafael Guilisasti partnered with renowned consulting winemaker Álvaro Espinoza to pioneer ecological viticulture across Chile's most prestigious wine regions, including the Casablanca, Maipo, Colchagua, and Cachapoal Valleys. Guided by Demeter-certified biodynamic farming principles, Emiliana eliminates synthetic inputs in favor of natural preparations and native biodiversity to authentically reflect terroir. The estate is widely celebrated for its flagship biodynamic red blends, notably Coyam and Gê, as well as expressive single-vineyard expressions of Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah.
