Hailing from the cool-climate Aconcagua Costa vineyard situated just 12 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, the Errazuriz Costa Chardonnay is a masterclass in maritime-influenced viticulture. The vines thrive in unique metamorphic soils rich in schist, locally known as pizarra, which imparts a distinctive flinty minerality to the wine. Benefiting from morning mists and cooling ocean breezes, the grapes undergo a slow ripening process that preserves their vibrant natural acidity. Fermented in French oak barrels and aged on its fine lees, this Chardonnay beautifully balances bright citrus and stone fruit flavors with a textured, creamy mouthfeel and a long, saline finish, representing Errazuriz's pioneering spirit in exploring Chile's coastal frontiers.
