Regarded as one of the world's greatest white wines, the Chateau de Beaucastel Roussanne Vieilles Vignes is a monument to the Roussanne grape. Sourced from a tiny, prized three-hectare parcel of ancient vines—some of which were planted in 1909—this cuvée is a rare expression of pure Roussanne. The vines thrive on the classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir of marine limestone and clay covered by 'galets roulés' (rounded stones), which absorb the intense Mediterranean sun by day and warm the soil by night. Fermented partly in oak barrels and partly in tank, this wine is celebrated for its opulent texture, striking minerality, and complex aromatic profile of honey, beeswax, and stone fruits.
