Hailing from the rugged terraces of the Vacqueyras appellation, Famille Perrin's 'Les Christins' is a profound expression of southern Rhône character. The wine takes its name from the historic lieu-dit where ancient Grenache and Syrah vines dig deep into stony, clay-limestone soils covered with classic galets roulés—rounded stones that absorb the fierce Provençal sun by day and warm the vines by night. This terroir, swept by the purifying Mistral wind, yields a wine of remarkable depth and concentration. Famille Perrin vinifies this cuvée with traditional methods, utilizing gentle extraction and aging in both oak foudres and stainless steel to preserve the vibrant, sun-drenched dark fruit, garrigue herb notes, and peppery spice that define this historic appellation.

Established in the southern Rhône Valley and closely tied to the legendary Château de Beaucastel since 1909, Famille Perrin is one of France's most respected winemaking dynasties. Under the visionary guidance of Jacques Perrin and subsequent generations, the family pioneered organic viticulture in 1950 and biodynamic farming in 1974. Based in Courthézon, they are celebrated for their masterful blending of all thirteen permitted Châteauneuf-du-Pape grape varieties, aging their wines in traditional large oak foudres to preserve purity and terroir. Their world-class portfolio ranges from the iconic, Mourvèdre-dominant Château de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin to expressive regional selections like Les Sinards and La Gille.
