Established in Reims in 1827 by the German winemaking Mumm family, Maison G.H. Mumm has long stood as an archetype of Pinot Noir-driven Champagne excellence. The estate oversees nearly 218 hectares of premier vineyards, anchored in historic Grand Cru terroirs across the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, including prime holdings in Verzenay, Mailly, Bouzy, and Ambonnay. These sites benefit from porous Campanian chalk subsoils, optimal solar aspects, and a cool semi-continental climate, yielding grapes with remarkable structure, energy, and tension. Operating under strict Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC) and Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certifications, the house eliminated chemical herbicides across estate parcels.
