Château Grand Escalion, nestled in the Costières de Nîmes appellation at the southern gateway of the Rhône Valley, boasts a rich history tied to its unique Mediterranean-influenced terroir. The estate's soils are defined by 'gress'—large, rounded pebbles deposited by the Rhône during the Quaternary period, which absorb heat during the day and radiate it at night. The 'Romane' white cuvée captures the vibrant synergy of this sun-drenched landscape and the cooling sea breezes from the nearby Camargue. Crafted primarily from Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, this wine undergoes careful temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve its delicate floral and stone-fruit aromas, resulting in a beautifully balanced, refreshing profile with a signature mineral finish.
