Named in honor of Saint Peter, the keeper of the keys to heaven which famously adorn the papal crest of the appellation, the Saint-Pierre cuvée from Maison Gabriel Meffre is a classic tribute to the historic terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Sourced from select vineyards characterized by the iconic galets roulés (large, heat-retaining quartz stones) and sandy-clay soils, this wine captures the essence of the southern Rhône. The grapes are traditionally vinified with a focus on preserving the vibrant fruit character and the distinct garrigue herb notes of the landscape, followed by careful aging to develop complexity, structure, and velvety tannins.
