✨ wine.spec_sheet

Crafted under the legendary négociant house of Georges Duboeuf, the Chateau de Juliénas represents a deep connection to antiquity. The Juliénas appellation itself owes its name to Julius Caesar, signifying a winemaking heritage that stretches back to the Roman Empire. Sourced from the ancient slopes of Beaujolais, this wine is made entirely from the Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc grape. The terroir here is defined by a complex mosaic of granite, volcanic schist, and clay, which imparts a robust structure and a distinct mineral edge to the wine. Traditional semi-carbonic maceration is employed to preserve the vibrant, expressive fruit character while coaxing out deep notes of red berries, violet, and a signature touch of baking spice. It stands as a proud testament to the serious, age-worthy side of Beaujolais Crus.
