Deep in the historic Garioch lands of Aberdeenshire, often called the 'Granary of Scotland' for its exceptionally fertile soils, Glen Garioch distillery has crafted robust Highland spirits since 1797. This rare 21-year-old single cask release, drawn from Cask 8685, represents a liquid time capsule of the distillery's traditional production methods. Distilled prior to the distillery's late-1990s modernization, it embodies the classic, heavy-bodied Highland style: rich, oily, and deeply complex. Decades of slow maturation in a single hand-selected oak cask have imparted deep layers of heather honey, stewed orchard fruits, warm baking spices, and a subtle, lingering whisper of peat smoke that defines historic Glen Garioch expressions.
