Ready to enjoy upon release. Unlike vintage wines, single malt Scotch whisky does not continue to mature or improve in the bottle, but it will remain stable and enjoyable for many years when stored upright and away from direct sunlight.

Deep in the historic valley of the Garioch, once known as the 'Granary of Aberdeenshire' for its incredibly fertile barley-growing soils, Glen Garioch distillery has been crafting robust Highland spirits since 1797. The Highland Single Malt Sherry Cask expression showcases the magnificent synergy between the distillery's heavy, oily, and honeyed spirit and the profound influence of European oak sherry casks. Traditionally distilled in copper pot stills, the spirit absorbs the rich, oxidative characters of Spanish Sherry wood during its long slumber. This maturation process cloaks the distillery's signature heather-honey and cereal notes in layers of rich raisins, warm baking spices, dark chocolate, and molasses, offering a beautifully textured dram that pays homage to centuries of Scottish distilling heritage.

Established in 1797 by John and Alexander Manson, Glen Garioch is one of Scotland's oldest operating distilleries, located in the historic market town of Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Now owned by Beam Suntory, the distillery is celebrated for its heritage and its recent return to traditional floor maltings and direct-fired heating for its copper pot stills. Glen Garioch is renowned for producing a robust, non-chill-filtered Highland single malt whisky, characterized by a rich, honeyed, and malt-forward profile with hints of heather, sweet spices, and, in its historic expressions, a delicate touch of peat smoke.
