The Perpetual Collection VAT 04 represents a masterful fusion of traditional distilling and modern maturation techniques. This 18-year-old single malt is aged in a combination of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks before being married in Glenfiddich's innovative Solera Vat 04, which is kept constantly half full to ensure a continuous, evolving lineage of flavor. The process yields a remarkably complex whisky, rich with notes of baked apple, warm oak, and sweet spice, embodying the pioneering spirit of the Grant family.

Founded in 1886 by William Grant alongside his nine children, Glenfiddich stands as one of Scotland's most historically significant and enduringly independent, family-owned distilleries. Situated in Dufftown within the heart of Speyside, the distillery draws its pure, mineral-soft process water exclusively from the Robbie Dhu springs, which flow through nearby peatlands and quartz terrain. Distillation is conducted in unusually small, distinctively shaped copper pot stills, meticulously replicated down to the exact curvature of the original late-nineteenth-century vessels to preserve high ester formation. Glenfiddich was instrumental in pioneering the modern global market for single malt Scotch in the 1960s.
