✨ Technical Specifications
Hailing from the legendary Dufftown in Speyside, Scotland, Glenfiddich was founded in 1886 by William Grant, who built the distillery by hand with his family. The name Glenfiddich translates from Gaelic as 'Valley of the Deer', symbolized by the iconic stag logo. This ultra-rare 50-Year-Old Third Release represents the pinnacle of patient maturation, drawn from historic casks that have rested in dunnage warehouses for half a century. Nourished by the Robbie Dhu spring water and matured in hand-selected oak, this exquisite single malt offers unparalleled complexity, weaving together rich notes of antique oak, delicate floral aromas, and deep, lingering dried fruit and spice. It is a liquid testament to generations of distilling heritage and the slow, silent passage of time in the Scottish Highlands.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1886 by William Grant alongside his nine children, Glenfiddich stands as one of Scotland's most historically significant and enduringly independent, family-owned distilleries. Situated in Dufftown within the heart of Speyside, the distillery draws its pure, mineral-soft process water exclusively from the Robbie Dhu springs, which flow through nearby peatlands and quartz terrain. Distillation is conducted in unusually small, distinctively shaped copper pot stills, meticulously replicated down to the exact curvature of the original late-nineteenth-century vessels to preserve high ester formation. Glenfiddich was instrumental in pioneering the modern global market for single malt Scotch in the 1960s. Today, under the guidance of Malt Master Brian Kinsman, the distillery is distinguished by its on-site cooperage and Solera vat system, crafting an iconic house profile marked by fresh orchard pear, delicate white blossom, subtle oak spice, and dried fruit complexity exemplified in releases like the 21 Year Old Gran Reserva Caribbean rum cask finish and the Rare Collection.
