Named in honor of playwright Carl Zuckmayer's famous play 'Der fröhliche Weinberg' (featuring the character Jean Baptiste Gunderloch), this estate-level Kabinett Feinherb showcases fruit grown across the steep red slate and clay-sandstone soils of the Roter Hang near Nackenheim and Nierstein. Cold fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks preserves vibrant aromatics and crisp mineral tension. The feinherb (off-dry) style strikes an intentional balance between residual sweetness and electric acidity, offering immediate charm alongside classic Rheinhessen slate minerality.

Founded in 1890 by banker Carl Gunderloch, Weingut Gunderloch is an esteemed estate located in Nackenheim along the Rhine in Germany's Rheinhessen region.
