The Hennessy 'Spirit of Travel' Shenzhen XO is an exclusive, limited-edition release that pays homage to the dynamic metropolis of Shenzhen, celebrating its meteoric rise from a quiet fishing village to a global hub of technology and design. This expression encapsulates Hennessy's legendary XO blend, first created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy. Crafted from a selection of approximately 100 robust eaux-de-vie primarily sourced from the premier crus of the Cognac region, the spirit is distilled in traditional copper Charentais alembic stills and aged in French Limousin oak casks. The result is a complex, deeply structured Cognac that weaves together rich aromas of candied fruit, wild cocoa, and warm baking spices, underpinned by a subtle, elegant woodiness that reflects the historic blending mastery of the Fillioux family.

Maison Hennessy blev grundlagt i 1765 af den irske officer Richard Hennessy og er i dag verdens førende cognachus med beliggenhed ved bredden af Charente-floden i Cognac. Husets uforlignelige kvalitet bygger på århundreders savoir-faire og et historisk, traditionsrigt samarbejde gennem flere generationer med Fillioux-familiens Master Blenders.
