Highland Park, established in 1798 in the windswept Orkney Islands, is Scotland's northernmost active distillery, deeply tied to its Norse heritage. This 'Full Cask' No 3 expression, matured in a traditional hogshead cask, showcases the distillery's signature style: a harmonious marriage of sweet heather honey, gentle peat smoke, and maritime salinity. Orkney's unique peat, rich in decomposed heather and devoid of wood, imparts a distinct floral smokiness unlike the medicinal peat of Islay. The cool, temperate island climate ensures a slow, even maturation, allowing the spirit to develop profound complexity, oily texture, and notes of dried fruit, soft spices, and toasted oak.
