Hailing from the wind-swept Orkney Islands, Highland Park's 'Loki' is the second legendary release in the highly coveted Valhalla Collection. This 15-year-old single malt pays homage to the Norse trickster god, reflecting his shape-shifting, unpredictable nature through a complex flavor profile. Distilled at one of Scotland's northernmost distilleries, where Viking heritage runs deep, this expression is crafted using hand-turned Orcadian peat and aged in a combination of traditional Spanish sherry casks and heavily peated casks. The result is a dramatic sensory journey that morphs from sweet, citrusy notes of dried bitter orange peel to dark, spicy cloves, before dissolving into a mischievous, lingering smoky finish.

Founded in 1798 in Kirkwall on the remote archipelago of Orkney, Highland Park stands as one of Scotland's most historic and northernmost single malt distilleries. Owned by the Edrington Group, the distillery fiercely guards traditional whisky-making practices, still conducting its own hand-turned floor maltings and cutting dense, heather-rich peat from nearby Hobbister Moor. Maturation takes place predominantly in premium sherry-seasoned oak casks within Orkney's cool, windswept maritime climate.
