Highland Park, established in 1798 by the legendary smuggler and vestryman Magnus Eunson, is situated on the windswept Orkney Islands off the far northern coast of Scotland. This remote, treeless archipelago profoundly shapes the unique character of their single malt. The distillery relies on local Orcadian peat harvested from Hobbister Moor, which is packed with decomposed heather rather than forest wood, imparting a distinctively sweet, floral, and gentle smoky character to the malt.
