Famille Hugel's Riesling Réserve Personnelle represents the pinnacle of the family's dry Riesling production, sourced almost exclusively from their historic estate-owned plots in the Grand Cru Schoenenbourg overlooking Riquewihr. This legendary hillside, famous since the Middle Ages for its unique terroir of marl, dolomite, and gypsum-rich clay, imparts a profound mineral intensity and structural power to the wine. Historically, the 'Réserve Personnelle' designation was used to denote the family's finest reserve casks, kept for special occasions and released only in years of exceptional quality. Vinified in historic, century-old oak foudres in the cool depths of the Hugel cellars, this dry Riesling exhibits a masterful balance of crystalline acidity, dense stone fruit, and the classic petrol and flinty nuances that emerge with age.

Established in 1639 in the picturesque medieval village of Riquewihr, Famille Hugel is one of the most venerable and celebrated wine producers in Alsace, France. Managed continuously by more than a dozen generations of the Hugel family, the estate combines historic family vineyards with carefully sourced fruit to champion the diverse terroirs of the region. Hugel was instrumental in establishing the official regulations for Alsace's revered late-harvest categories, Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles.
