The Jacques Selosse Lieux-Dits Collection Assortment case is the ultimate expression of Anselme Selosse's revolutionary terroir-driven philosophy. This legendary six-bottle case brings together six distinct single-vineyard Champagnes, each representing a highly specific parcel (lieu-dit) across the Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages of Champagne. Anselme, inspired by his studies in Burgundy, sought to prove that Champagne's diverse soils could express themselves as distinctively as the climats of the Côte d'Or. The collection features three Blanc de Blancs (Chardonnays from Avize, Cramant, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) and three Blanc de Noirs (Pinot Noirs from Aÿ, Ambonnay, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ). Each wine is crafted using a solera-like perpetual reserve system, aged in oak casks, and bottled with minimal dosage. Founded in the 1950s by Jacques Selosse and propelled to legendary status by his visionary son Anselme Selosse, Domaine Jacques Selosse is based in the Grand Cru village of Avize in the heart of Champagne's Côte des Blancs. Anselme took over the estate in 1980 after studying in Burgundy, fundamentally revolutionizing the grower Champagne movement through meticulous, non-interventionist viticulture, minimal yields, and native yeast fermentations in oak barrels. Renowned for a singular, vinous, and lightly oxidative style, the house crafts profoundly complex cuvées, including the solera-aged Substance, the precise Initial and Version Originale, and an acclaimed collection of single-parcel Lieux-dits.
