Hailing from the historic village of Chassagne-Montrachet, where red wines once dominated the landscape before Chardonnay took center stage, Jean-Marc Pillot's Vieilles Vignes Rouge is a beautiful tribute to the region's traditional heritage. Sourced from old Pinot Noir vines deeply rooted in clay-limestone soils, this cuvee benefits from the natural concentration and complexity that only mature vines can deliver. Pillot employs traditional Burgundian vinification with partial destemming and careful temperature control, followed by aging in French oak barrels. The result is a red Burgundy of exceptional purity, showcasing vibrant red berry fruit, earthy undertones, and a refined, mineral-driven structure characteristic of the Cote de Beaune.

Domaine Jean-Marc Pillot is an esteemed family-run wine estate rooted in Chassagne-Montrachet, situated in Burgundy's celebrated Côte de Beaune. Taking the reins in 1991 and now joined by his son Antonin, Jean-Marc represents the latest generation to steward the family's historic parcels with a philosophy focused on organic practices, careful canopy management, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The domaine spans premier sites across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Santenay, crafting wines that authentically reflect their underlying limestone and clay terroirs.
