Hailing from the lush, subtropical climate of Yilan County in northeastern Taiwan, Kavalan's Solist Sherry Cask is a testament to the revolutionary concept of rapid maturation. Utilizing the pristine, mineral-rich meltwater from the nearby Snow Mountain range, this single malt is aged in hand-selected Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The intense heat and humidity of Taiwan accelerate the interaction between the spirit and the wood, a phenomenon known as the 'angel's share' which can reach up to 15% annually.
