Crafted by winemaker Ryan Crane, the Kerloo Cellars Lonesome Spring Ranch Rosé is a vibrant testament to the unique terroir of the Yakima Valley. Sourced from the esteemed Lonesome Spring Ranch, where vines thrive in soils of windblown loess over basalt and ancient caliche, this wine benefits from warm desert days and cool desert nights. Kerloo’s low-intervention philosophy is on full display here; the fruit is gently pressed and fermented in neutral vessels to preserve its bright, high-toned red berry aromatics, crisp acidity, and distinct mineral undertones. The winery itself, named after the resonant call of the near-extinct Whooping Crane, sings a song of place, delivering a dry, refreshing, and highly expressive Pacific Northwest rosé that captures the pure essence of its rugged vineyard origin.

Kerloo Cellars blev grundlagt i 2007 af vinmageren Ryan Crane i Washington States berømte Walla Walla Valley. Her fremstiller vinhuset håndværksvine med udpræget terroirpræg, som hylder de ypperste vinmarker i Pacific Northwest. Filosofien bygger på minimal intervention, afdæmpet brug af egetræ og spontangæring med naturlig gær, hvor Crane stræber efter at fremhæve den rene, levende frugtkarakter fra anerkendte parceller i Columbia Valley og Yakima Valley. Vinhuset har opnået særlig anerkendelse for sine dynamiske vine i Rhône-stil – især enkeltdarks-Syrah og frisk Grenache Rosé – suppleret af energiske fortolkninger af Tempranillo, Grenache Blanc og Sauvignon Blanc.
