Sourced from the esteemed Lonesome Spring Ranch, where vines thrive in soils of windblown loess over basalt and ancient caliche, this wine benefits from warm desert days and cool desert nights. Kerloo’s low-intervention philosophy is on full display here; the fruit is gently pressed and fermented in neutral vessels to preserve its bright, high-toned red berry aromatics, crisp acidity, and distinct mineral undertones. The winery itself, named after the resonant call of the near-extinct Whooping Crane, sings a song of place, delivering a dry, refreshing, and highly expressive Pacific Northwest rosé that captures the pure essence of its rugged vineyard origin.
