Sourced from the unique Resurgent Vineyard, nestled along the steep, cobblestone-laden banks of the Walla Walla River, this Syrah is a testament to the dramatic terroir of the Walla Walla Valley. The vineyard's stony soils, reminiscent of the southern Rhône, absorb heat during the day and radiate it back to the vines at night, resulting in a wine of profound complexity. Winemaker Ryan Crane employs low-intervention techniques, including partial whole-cluster fermentation and aging in neutral French oak, to preserve the vineyard's distinctive voice. The result is a classic cool-climate style Syrah, balancing intense dark fruit with savory undertones of black olive, smoked meats, and crushed wet stone.

Founded in 2007 by winemaker Ryan Crane in Walla Walla, Washington, Kerloo Cellars is named after the distinctive call of the near-extinct Whooping Crane.
