Hailing from the sun-drenched, terraced hills of Goriška Brda, Peneca Rebula Brut is a vibrant celebration of Slovenia's most cherished indigenous white grape, Rebula (Ribolla Gialla). The grape has defined the region's viticultural identity since medieval times, thriving in the unique 'opoka' marl soils. Crafted using the Charmat method to preserve the grape's natural vivacity, this sparkling wine captures the breezy intersection of the Adriatic Sea and the Julian Alps. Established in 1957 as a cooperative uniting local winegrowing families, Klet Brda is the leading wine producer in the picturesque Goriška Brda region of western Slovenia, situated between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Working with hundreds of multi-generational families who tend steep, terraced vineyards planted on distinctive flysch and sandstone soils known locally as 'opoka', the winery seamlessly merges centuries of viticultural tradition with state-of-the-art cellar techniques.
