Hailing from the sun-drenched, terraced hills of Goriška Brda in Primorska, Slovenia, the Quercus Rosé is a vibrant expression of a unique microclimate where alpine breezes meet Mediterranean warmth. The wine is crafted primarily from Merlot grapes grown on opoka, the region's signature mineral-rich marl and sandstone soils. The name Quercus pays homage to the majestic oak trees native to the region, symbolizing strength and deep roots. To preserve its bright, youthful character and delicate aromas of wild strawberries, red currants, and raspberries, the grapes undergo a short maceration followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This results in a crisp, refreshing rosé that beautifully captures the lively spirit of the Slovenian hills.
