Hailing from the green, mist-shrouded valleys of Galicia, Pazo de Seoane Rosal is a masterful expression of the O Rosal sub-zone within the Rías Baixas appellation. Produced under the stewardship of the prestigious Rioja house, La Rioja Alta, S.A. (via their Galician estate, Lagar de Cervera), this wine pays homage to the traditional 'Pazo'—the historic Galician manor houses that dot the landscape. Unlike single-varietal Albariños, this classic O Rosal blend combines Albariño with native Loureiro, Treixadura, and Caiño Blanco. Grown on granite soils along the terraced banks of the Miño River bordering Portugal, the vines benefit from a unique microclimate that is warmer and drier than the rest of the region. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo careful temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve their intense aromatics, resulting in a wine that beautifully marries the vibrant stone fruit and citrus of Albariño with the intense floral aromas of Loureiro and the structural elegance of Treixadura.
