✨ wine.spec_sheet

Deep in the heart of Reims, hidden behind high stone walls directly opposite the historic House of Lanson, lies a secret sanctuary: the Clos Lanson. This precious, single-hectare walled vineyard has been cultivated since the 18th century and represents one of the very few remaining urban vineyards in Champagne. Crafted exclusively from the Chardonnay vines planted in this chalk-rich microclimate, Clos Lanson Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut is a testament to heritage and meticulous craftsmanship. Unlike many of Lanson's other cuvées, the juice from this plot is fermented entirely in oak casks, blending the house's signature style of avoiding malolactic fermentation—which preserves a vibrant, crystalline acidity—with the rich, textured complexity of wood aging. After undergoing secondary fermentation under natural cork, the bottles rest in the cool chalk cellars for over a decade. The result is an incredibly rare, powerful, and precise Champagne, marrying bright citrus and mineral energy with deep, toasted brioche and hazelnut notes.
